Tabitha Raphael

Overview

Tabitha was born and raised in Perth’s southern suburbs. Tabitha completed a Bachelor of Commerce, majoring in Economics and Business Law at UWA in 2015. During that period of time, she developed an interest in the law which led her to commencing a Bachelor of Laws (Graduate Pathway) at Curtin University in 2016. During her free time, she engaged in many different clerkship and legal volunteering opportunities to further her knowledge and experience.

After completing her Bachelor of Laws, Tabitha commenced her role as an Usher, and later became an Associate, to a Judge at the District Court of Western Australia. During both roles, she was able to sit in on many different and complex criminal hearings at the District Court– not only in Perth, but in numerous rural locations.

Tabitha commenced her Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice through the College of Law in 2019. She was awarded the 2019 PLT Excellence Award for Outstanding Achievement in Ethics and Professional Responsibility. In December 2019, Tabitha was admitted to the profession by the Supreme Court of Western Australia.

Outside of the law, Tabitha enjoys spending her weekends with her large family and many friends. Her hobbies include singing, watching musical theatre performances, food blogging at Perth’s best restaurants and cafes, an interest in fashion and travel.
